Self Check-in for Your Holiday Rental

Your guest checks in while you are somewhere else: a time-limited access code replaces the key handover. It is valid exactly from check-in to departure and expires automatically afterwards. This works for private rentals just as well as for platforms such as Airbnb or Booking.

Key handover without travelling

For each booking you create a PIN code with a validity period in the web interface or in the ESENTA app and simply send it to the guest with the booking confirmation. At the SIAS outdoor station the guest enters the code and is inside, whatever the arrival time.

You still stay reachable: when the guest rings, you see them via live video in the app, talk to them and open the door remotely. For long-term and regular guests there are MIFARE DESFire cards, and the cleaning service gets a separate code with fixed times.

After departure there is nothing to remember: the code expires automatically. No key safe on the fence, no lost keys, no trip for the handover. And all of it without a subscription; the ESENTA Cloud for app access is free of charge.

Each access code is valid exactly for the booked period and becomes invalid automatically afterwards. Nobody has to remember to collect a key.

Unlike many smart lock subscriptions, ESENTA costs nothing per month. Install once, handle any number of bookings; the cloud for app access is free of charge.

Frequently asked questions

How does the guest receive the access code?

You create the code with its validity period in the web interface or the app and send it as usual by message, for example with the booking confirmation or the arrival information. The guest does not need an app.

What happens after departure?

The code expires automatically at the end of its validity period and no longer opens the door. For the next booking you simply create a new code.

Do I notice when guests arrive?

Yes. The app notifies you when someone rings, with live video and two-way audio. With the cloud function activated, the event history additionally records when the doorbell was rung.

Are there monthly costs?

No. There are no subscription fees and no costs per booking. The optional ESENTA Cloud with servers in Germany, which enables app access while you are away, is free of charge.
