No network cable at the front door, just the old bell wire? That is exactly what ESENTA SIAS is made for: the 2WIP module carries power and data simultaneously over two existing wires. The old doorbell becomes an IP video door intercom, without new wiring.
The ES-2WIP module brings Ethernet and power supply to where previously only a simple bell hung: over two existing wires, with a range of up to 100 m. You will find the wiring diagram in our support section.
The installation also uses what is already there: the wide front panel of the SIAS outdoor station often fits the cut-out of the replaced old system; alternatively there is the ES-AG2 surface-mount housing or installation in a letterbox or pillar. Dimensional drawings for the cut-outs are available in our support section.
Indoors it stays just as simple: the IS53W indoor station connects via Wi-Fi, with no additional wiring at all. Or you skip the indoor station and answer door calls on your smartphone or existing phones, for example via the FRITZ!Box.
Power and data run together over the existing bell line, up to 100 m. No network cable to the front door, no chiselling, no replastering.
The wide front panel often covers the cut-out of the replaced old system. Alternatively: surface-mount housing, letterbox installation or a free-standing pillar, depending on the building.
The IS53W indoor station joins the network via Wi-Fi. Or door calls go straight to smartphones and existing phones, without any new device on the wall.
In most cases, yes: the 2WIP module only needs two existing wires and bridges up to 100 m. Power supply and the outdoor station's network connection run over them simultaneously.
No. The connection uses the existing line, and for the installation there is a suitable solution for every situation: flush-mounted in the old cut-out, the ES-AG2 surface-mount housing, or installation in a letterbox or pillar.
The wide front panel of the SIAS outdoor station is designed for this and covers common cut-outs. You will find the exact dimensional drawings for comparison in our support section.
Yes. Especially in existing buildings with many parties, retrofitting over the existing line plays to its strengths. More on the page door intercom for apartment buildings.
